After finding loose 4 1/2" square antique cigar labels at street fairs, I
applied them directly to monochrome and striped watercolors. The early
20th century American frames are from David Spiegel except for the small
circular frames for "Pastime" and "Inspiration" which are
Italian. These were shown at the Vrej Baghoomian Gallery at 555 Broadway
in 1990.
