The dance troupe "The Butoh Rockettes" opened Act II.  The setting is an Opium Den in Whitechapel.  Dry Ice or some type of fog machine was used to create a smoky atmosphere.    Each dancer smoked the giant pipe and passed it back to the next person.  

The dancers movements slowly unfolded in dreamlike sequences.

The Butoh Rockettes are:  Celeste Hastings, Frank Schneider, Sara Baird, Susan Lamberth.  The painted background is by Venantius Pinto.
