The brutal attack on the World Trade Center on September 11th has stripped us of one of the great skyscrapers of all time.

The World Trade Center in August 1998. I am standing directly south of the towers, shooting north from Battery Park.	Later the same day, the towers would become more golden as the sun set to the West. The moiré patterns seen here only became apparent after reducing the photos.
